Get trendy with this pop monster art project!
You’ve probably noticed certain, shall we say, adorable monsters adorning people’s bags recently. This is largely thanks to Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung, who has taken the collectible toy world by storm with his imaginative character designs that blend adorable and slightly mischievous aesthetics. Adults AND kids have been flocking to his designs for their quirky yet cute designs, and now you get to create your own!
In this project, you’ll learn techniques inspired by contemporary toy designers like Kasing Lung, to create your own furry pop monster. You will sketch a monster, choose colors and details that make your character one of a kind, and learn to layer crayons to create a fluffy fur texture.
So let’s grab those crayons and create a unique and adorable pop monster art project!
